Hans van Bentem
1965, The Hague, the Netherlands

Hans van Bentem graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Art (KABK) in The Hague in 1988. Since 1990 he has been producing large-scale sculptures. The artist finds his inspiration from all around him. A pop song, local skills in Jingdezhen or an ancient drumritual in West-Africa. His work is not only exhibited in galleries and musea, but also in the public space, for his wish is to make a contribution towards making art available for a greater audience.
